Welcome to the CHI website.  The Community Health Institute (CHI) is composed of a group of faculty associate scientists, staff and students at Kansas State University with a collective vision to promote healthy youth, adults and families through community-based health behavior research.  The mission of the CHI is to understand and promote innovative and sustainable community partnerships and capacity building, health behavior prevention and intervention research, and translation of research to practice. 



CHI's supports the "Research Consortium on Healthful Eating and Physical Activity in the Great Plains." The mission of the Research Consortium is to promote physical activity and healthful eating across the Great Plains through research that informs policy and practice. 


CHI is housed within the College of Arts in Sciences and is supported by K-State Research and Extension.
